How bad you think things are will depend a great deal on how deep you dive and what sources you trust and so there’s always going to be room for a wide variety of conclusions. I’ve always tried to base my conclusions on the scriptures and how well they match up to events unfolding around the world.

However, I think you could make a good case for our being on the short end of things based just on President Nelson’s observations and comments alone…

But it is the extremes to which the globalist are going in order to nullify the constitution, defy the rule of law and make war with the common law abiding folks that puts the icing on the cake for me personally. What they are doing is a very close match to what John and Daniel had to say about the 42 months.

Add to that the fact that Russia is rising up and threatening to do the very thing that John documents in Rev 17… to burn the whore which Nephi identifies as the wicked gentiles… which will be what we call the cleansing of America just before the Lord comes and establishes Zion, the New Jerusalem, here in America. I see it on so many levels and thus the reason for the first 13 chapters of the book. To me the writing is on the wall wherever I look… Hope that answers your question… thanks for your comment…
